WiMob 2014
October 10th, 2014
Between the 8th and 10th October 2014, Manuel Aravecchia presented a paper on “Gaussian process for RSS-based Localisation”at Wireless and Mobile Computing, Networking and Communications (WiMob 2014) in Larnaca, (Cyprus). The paper proposes a novel indoor localisation system for mobile devices, based on the analysis of the signals a device receives from WiFi (or Bluetooth) access points that are present in the environment. This technology can help to estimate user location in indoor environments where the information provided by GPS is typically unavailable or unreliable.
