ICPR 2014

August 28th, 2014

On the 28th August, Elisa Ricci presented a paper at the 22nd International Conference on Pattern Recognition, Stockholm (Sweden)
ICPR is an international forum to discuss recent advances in the fields of Pattern Recog-nition; Machine Learning and Computer Vision and on applications of these technologies in various fields. Elisa Ricci and her co-authors developed an approach for unsupervised scene analysis to detect relevant spatiotemporal patterns in complex scenes. She presented a paper to estimate spatiotemporal activity based on the fusion of nearby activities and previous encounters with similar environments. In this way, they were able to make estimates of local activity and to predict how the local environment might evolve, a key requirement for immersive AR experiences.
